Spain

The jewel in the Iberian Peninsula

History, Culture and Tradition

There are many places to visit in Spain, such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville. You can also enjoy sunny beaches with your family or friends.

Spain is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, a country with a rich history, culture and traditions. Spain has a reputation for being extremely modern; in fact it’s often considered one of the most “Europeanized” countries on the continent. You can expect to find excellent healthcare and education systems as well as very low crime rates. The standard of living in Spain is also quite high – especially when compared with other parts of Europe.

The culture of Spain is rich and diverse, with a history that spans over several millennia. In fact, many cultures have influenced Spanish culture over the years, including those of the Phoenicians and Romans. Spanish literature is one of the most popular branches of literature in the world; some famous examples include Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote and Lope de Vega's La Dorotea.

The art scene in Spain thrives as well; Spanish painters like El Greco, Francisco Goya, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí are internationally renowned for their work.

Flamenco dancing is a form of Spanish dance and music that originated in Andalusia, the southernmost region of Spain. It is often described as "the most popular art form in Spain." The style combines singing, guitar playing, clapping, footwork and body movements. The origins of this unique rhythm are uncertain but they could be traced back to the Moorish culture that lived in Andalusia during medieval times when flamenco was born out of Arabic music traditions mixed with European ones such as Italian opera or French chanson de geste (chansons de geste being songs about famous knights).

Spanish cuisine is diverse and has a strong Spanish character. It is influenced by the country's long history of Moorish rule, as well as its proximity to the sea and its many cultures. Typical dishes include paella, tapas and tortilla de patatas.

Although nothing will beat the taste of home cooking, Spain also has an abundance of good restaurants serving traditional cuisine at reasonable prices. If you want to try something different from what you're used to back home (or if you don't want to cook)

Spain is a popular tourist destination, drawing millions of visitors each year. Spaniards are known for their hospitality, and visitors can find plenty to do when they visit the country.

The Spanish have a long history of bullfighting, with famous bullfighters such as "El Cordobés" (Julián López Escobar) and José Tomás dominating the sport in recent years. Bullfighting is a popular spectator sport at festivals and during local events throughout Spain; many people even travel from other countries just to see this exciting tradition firsthand!

The Spanish also have a rich history of flamenco dancing; some would say that their passion for it is unmatched anywhere else in the world! In addition to being performed as part of traditional festivals or folk dances held throughout Spain every year (such as Semana Santa), flamenco is also taught in dance schools all over South America, North America and Europe.

Spain has a rich sporting culture, where football, basketball and tennis dominate. The country's national soccer team is consistently among the best in the world, having won three European Championships and one World Cup since 1950. Spain also has strong cycling teams who regularly challenge for victory at events like the Tour de France, as well as producing several of the top players in every sport imaginable.

While many British tourists will be familiar with bullfighting thanks to its popularity in their homeland (and long commercial history), it's actually illegal in Spain itself—but you can still watch a bullfight if you're planning on visiting Madrid or Barcelona anyway!

Spain is the 14th largest economy in the world and has a well-developed infrastructure, competitive tax system and highly skilled and well-educated workforce. The country is an attractive place to do business due to its climate, excellent lifestyle and quality of life.

If you are interested in starting a business in Spain, you can use the services of an accountant or lawyer who will help you with all legal procedures. Depending on your type of company, they may also be able to give advice on how to set up things like accounting systems.

The economy of Spain has a nominal GDP of $1.1 trillion and a per capita GDP of $35,400. The unemployment rate is 20%, down from 21% in 2013. The country’s currency is the euro (EUR), which replaced its national currency, the peseta, in 2002. The euro is used by 19 countries throughout.

Spain ranks as one of the top investment destinations in Europe because it has low corporate tax rates at 26%, compared to 33% on average across OECD countries; strong infrastructure; high levels of skilled labor; and an educated workforce with high English proficiency.
